sure, they were pretty crass, but i loved sides 1 & 4 of "rockin' the fillmore" and about 3 songs from "smokin'."still think steve shoulda stuck with the small faces, tho. listened to their first immediate alb before work today and felt pure and happy well into my shift.
Si. Humble Pie did have their moments. Along with The Herd, I felt this was the strongest period for Frampton. He deserved recognition but it shouldn't had been from that god-awful "Frampton Comes Alive".I did like The Faces with Rod Stewart and Ron Wood, though, but I agree that The Small Faces were a better group.
ha! speaking of the herd, i found a copy of the andy bown "gone to my head" alb at hpb today. i thought surely i was the only person in north texas ever to have owned that rec. altho i bought (and sold) it in ny.
