Days gone by

The highlights, at least for me...

Friday: Went to Kat and Ken's house for dins and hang time. As a wanton act of awesomeness Ken gave me a copy of Sir Lord Baltimore's debut, Kingdom Come, as a surprise. The meal Kat prepared was perfect for an oppressively hot day (cold cut roasted chicken, salad, and a vegetable medley) and quite delicious. A substantial thunderstorm was a very welcomed event, providing a temporary respite from the summer heat. After the meal Ken and I watched a pretty hilarious video of a British television show from 1965 featuring talking heads (including a nose by the name of Pete Townshend) attempting to predict what 1966 would be like. We also watched part of Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who (The High Numbers' gig at the Railway Hotel in 1964) and Small Faces - All or Nothing. A very enjoyable day, indeed!

Saturday: From morning through early evening I worked on JATSDFM tuneage. Only came up with one piece, which after resuming work on it during the wee hours of the morning I decided that it would have to do as a rough draft.

Sunday: Completed the piece started on Saturday and remixed another one. Rescued Zeus (aka "The Brain") from Apollo's pen. And from the pasture. And from the tree. And from the gate. Became painfully obvious why he was bred for meat...

'Twas a blast...let's do it again! (The Friday stuff, not the goat-rescue business.)

Verification: statily
