Trifecta

Three things that (surprise!) have persistently been in the ole noggin this past week:

1. "Like a Miracle", John Foxx. There are four versions of this tune. The first two are demos from 1979 and 1980. The third can be found on 1983's The Golden Section, and the fourth is an extended version released as a 12" single the same year.

The Golden Section (1983)

2. "The Electrician", The Walker Brothers. Thanks to PFFFFT! alumni Clay Stinnet, this track from the group's 1978 swansong, Nite Flights, has been on a constant loop. Only Scott Walker could create a song that seamlessly combines eerie ambiance with sublimely beautiful pop.

3. Robot Chicken. Haven't watched this programme in a while, and these particular fourteen seconds from Friday night's airing continues to keep me laughing like a nutter.
